The Advanced Materials Laboratory, belonging to the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, is a research space that supports teaching and provides specialized services. It is equipped with instruments to characterize nanomaterials and evaluate their performance. Its objective is to develop innovative materials aligned with the 2030 SDGs, focused on water, energy, health and food. In addition, it investigates applications in agriculture, environment, energy and sensors, with an impact on the Latin American region.

Laboratory specialized in biotechnology applied to animal health. It develops and optimizes molecular and serological techniques for the diagnosis of infectious and parasitic diseases in domestic, production and wild animals. She researches ecology, epidemiology and pathogen-host-vector interactions with a One Health approach. It provides support to teaching, research and linkage, training students in curricular integration projects and pre-professional practices. It fosters national and international interdisciplinary collaboration.

Biosafety Laboratory level BSL2+ specialized in microbiological diagnosis of dangerous pathogens, bacterial resistance and zoonoses. It provides academic support to postgraduate degrees in Life Sciences, Security and Defense, as well as to master's and doctoral students from universities with an agreement. It carries out isolation, identification and typing of highly dangerous agents, and antibiotic resistance studies. It seeks to lay the foundations for an innovative master's degree in animal health, zoonoses, food safety and biosecurity.

The laboratory supports the training of students in botany through practical classes. She provides advice for titling and research. Its objective is to train in the recognition of plant structures, equipment handling and critical analysis on diseases and plant development. It fosters research interest and links with national organizations to study interrelationships that affect crops.
